I remember the day I opened the salon as if it were yesterday...
I had a ten month old baby and a three year old and looking back now I actually think it was all a bit mad! I started of in a little room in Moira and I knew within six months that I needed a slightly bigger space, so I moved to Moira Mews to what was going to be a little haven to my clients.
Such fun times and great memories were made with clients who have now become firm friends!
I worked night and day and probably didn't realised at the time the extent it was having on my precious little family...
At the beginning of this year I took ill with extreme vestibular problems due to stress and exhaustion and I was literally stopped in my tracks.
It was a rough few months but it made me reevaluate my life and what was important and I realised that I needed to slow down and be more present at home - and so the journey of my move began!
I toyed with ideas of "Do we renovate our garage?" (husband not keen) or "Do we build a log cabin in our garden?" (not ideal for the neighbours ) or "Do I give up all together?! "It became evident that that wasn't an option as I love what I do and panicked at the thought of no more EB!
And so I found premises on Main Street Waringstown - closer to my home and not a million miles away from Moira AND the most perfect little quaint spot where I could really see that Effortless Beauty would flourish!
I get to offer more hours for beauty and treatments but yet will be able to be home in the afternoons with my little people, being the one to help with homeworks and do club runs (anyone else out there a taxi driver?!)
So as I start out on this exciting journey in Waringstown I really hope you will still support me and know my heart behind Effortless Beauty ... to show women they are beautiful and make time for them to chat and feel special ... I'm excited but if I'm honest I'm nervous too - I just want EB to be the best it can be and offer the best service I can whilst still being the mummy and wife I know I need to be
Join with me in Waringstown in December and let's start out on this journey together and remember ... anything at all is possible if you put your heart and determination into it!
